LCCIL is a non-profit that relies on the generosity of our donors. There
are several ways you can help:
Volunteer!
Your time is always appreciated. Contact us for details.
:: From the Goodsearch website ::
Use www.GoodSearch.com as your search engine and select Lake County Center
for Independent Living when it asks "Who do you goodsearch for". For every
search you do through Goodsearch, they donate a penny to LCCIL. Goodsearch
will pay us just because you are doing something you already do dozens of
times a day! So far we have had 8755 searches and raised $102!
GoodSearch.com is powered by Yahoo! and
raises money for charities using a model similar to paid searches on Yahoo!
or Google: Advertisers pay a fee whenever Internet users click on
a given link. Last year search engines generated almost $6 billion through
such searches.
From the iGive website:
When you shop online, shop at www.igive.com and
select Lake County Center for Independent Living as your cause. The easiest
option is to download the igive shopping window and then you can forget
about it! Each and every time you type in a shopping website that has
agreed to make a donation to LCCIL just because you are shopping, the igive
window will alert you that a donation is being made to LCCIL! Again, just
by doing something you already do regularly, you can help support Lake
County Center for Independent Living.
How does iGive.com work?
When we say 12.5% or 8% or 10% to your cause next to a merchant at the
Mall, each and every penny goes
directly to your favorite cause. No administrative costs, no fees, nothing
-- 100 percent to your cause. iGive.com is paid a sales commission (over and
above the charitable contribution percentage) when our members make
purchases, allowing us to continue to expand our services. Also, many
merchants pay us to advertise on our Web site.
:: By Selling on eBay ::
Sell your items on eBay by using www.i-soldit.com. When you drop off your items to be sold by them, just specify that you
would like the proceeds donated to Lake County Center for Independent
Living! They do all of the work for you - what could be easier?
