STRATEGIC PLAN
2009-2014
 
LCCIL’s mission is to empower people with disabilities to lead self-directed lives as valued members of the community.
 
We accomplish this through Advocacy, IL skills training, Peer Mentoring and Information and Referral throughout Lake County.  
 
 
Goal I Community Education .
 
Objective A: LCCIL will educate at minimum 40 community organizations in Lake County about the physical and attitudinal barriers affecting people with disabilities by December 2014. 
 
Objective B: LCCIL will increase community awareness of its existing programs and services in order to serve 50% more consumers by December 2014.
 
Goal II. Advocacy/Community Organizing
 
Objective A: LCCIL will improve voter turn out by increasing voter registration of people with disabilities by December 2014.
 
Objective B: LCCIL will utilize leadership development, community organizing and advocacy skills to address transportation and attainable, accessible housing needs for people with disabilities by December 2014.
 
 
Goal III. Employment
 
Objective A: LCCIL will expand services to teach employment skills and increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities by December 2014. 
 
Goal IV.     Fund Development
 
Objective A: LCCIL will develop a marketing/public relations plan to increase revenue and diversify funding sources for future sustainability of the organization by December 2014. 
 
 
Goal V.       Social Participation
 
Objective A: LCCIL will increase opportunities for recreation and socialization in the community by December 2014.
 
Goal VI.     Operations and Programs
 
Objective A: LCCIL will assess, evaluate, and obtain needed staff as well as cross-train to ensure consistent productivity that anticipates staffing changes by December 2014. 
 
Objective B: LCCIL will address technological and spatial needs of the facility by December 2014.
 
 
Goal VII.   Improved Services
 
Objective A: LCCIL will evaluate, improve, and expand all programs in order to provide quality services to consumers by December 2014.
